Fishermen can enjoy excellent fishing on the River Till where a 12lbs salmon was landed by one of our guests.Picturesque Ford village and castle are just along the road, A short drive inland will bring you to Heatherslaw with its working watermill and light railway. Milfield, home of the ancient Maelmin Heritage Trail and Milfield Gliding Club is only a few miles further and will lead you towards the Cheviot Hills with their Iron Age hill forts.  On the coast, you could be on Lindisfarne in only a few minutes, the seat of early Christianity, experiencing the atmosphere of the ancient site. Continue along the heritage coastline and miles of glorious golden beaches, and explore the magnificent Bamburgh Castle; a few minutes further and there’s The Farne Islands with the puffin colony to enjoy.
